The Emerald Necklace series tells a foundational piece of the Trillium Brewing story. If you’ve visited our home of Boston, you’ve likely encountered and enjoyed a section of the Emerald Necklace. Beginning downtown at the Boston Common and Public Garden, extending out to Back Bay, and all the way to Dorchester, this 1,100 acre, seven-mile-long public park system is a cherished green oasis in the heart of the city. Years ago, JC cultivated a plot in the Fenway Victory Gardens, where he grew edible and decorative plants, trees, and even some hop bines!

Featuring the largest standing body of water in the entire park system, the 4th addition to our Emerald Park series takes us to Jamaica Pond. Golden yellow and moderately hazy in appearance, Amarillo's bright citrus aromas draw us in. Notes of tangerine peel, lemon verbena, and makrut lime pop upfront, eventually giving way to Simcoe's pine-forward dank character. Finishing dry with just enough bitterness, Jamaica Pond's scrubby carbonation leaves the palate refreshed and ready for the next sip.

Draft at Maloney’s, 10/2/25. Darker yellowish color, plenty of lace. Sweet orange, overripe mango, and some papaya. Strong malty backbone to it. Solid overall. Rather sweet overall. Somewhat sticky. Pretty good.

Lightly murky orange with some white head.  Nice nose, pithy, very citrusy, cracker and biscuit too.  Nose is clear.  Flavor falls off some.  Maybe it's a little old.  Chewy malt.  Very citrus.  Dried herbs and paper.  Medium bodied.  Some bite.  Falls off.  7 7.5 6.5 6 6.5

Draught at Fenway, 2/18/22. Glowing, bright, peach-golden with some deeper maize hues and a small, somewhat dense, white head showing moderately-low retention. Nose is light and woody, with light pine, earth, dry citrus and cracker malts. Light peach and more citrus with clean yeast and no alcohol or flaw. Supple, malty texture is very well-attenuated. Woody amarillo and great restraint on the Simcoe, showing no big pine resin or aggressive acidity. Chewy, biscuity malt texture helps soak up the acid. Never gets too sweet or overly juicy. Plentiful bitterness remains, but the flavors are good with mango, orange, lemon and a clean pine on the finish. Almost more WC IPA than anything.

Kind of different from Trillium. Lemon, lime, kind of sweet. Decent, but not the usual suspect. Thanks Ry! Pre-game beer #2. #Godín

Pours a lightly hazy, yellow-gold, with minimal head. Aroma is citrus and pine, some grass. Flavor follows. Mouthfeel a bit thin. Bitter, hoppy finish. It's not bad.
