We're of the opinion that there's simply no better way to commemorate life's milestones than with a new beer that pays homage to events such as anniversaries, festivals, holidays, and more. With beers like Congress Street, Launch, Scaled, Central Artery, Pilsner, and Rink in our portfolio, we also have a tradition of introducing beers to coincide with the opening of new Trillium experiences.

Located steps away from the trailhead of Great Blue Hill, our ambitious restaurant, taproom and future production facility at 100 Royall Street in Canton was more than 8 years in the making. During that time, we've incubated, iterated upon, and continued to endlessly refine our take on the New England IPA style. Trailside is the culmination of everything we've learned along the way.

Double Dry Hopped Trailside is the amped-up version of the original with a double dose of Citra & Strata in the dry hop. Pouring a hazy, golden yellow, Double Dry Hopped Trailside is a fine-tuned take on the classic citrus-meets-tropical Trillium profile. Keeping an eye toward new possibilities with Strata, while retaining the core elements of what works best in Citra, the aroma is a stunning display of smile-inducing hop saturation.

Fresh-peeled clementine, tangelo, and candied Meyer lemon notes are complemented by overripe pineapple, mango nectar, and fuzzy peach. Its juice-forward, no doubt; but an underlying ruby red grapefruit bitterness keeps us reaching back for more. Characteristically soft and palate-coating, we hope you enjoy Double Dry Hopped Trailside while exploring the beauty of Blue Hills and beyond.

Keg @ Juova, Helsinki.
Poured hazy and orange in color.
Pineapple juicy flavor, smooth mouthfeel. Coconut flakes, sweet nectarines. Oats. Not the freshest feel.

On tap at Elizabeth Station, pours an opaque, murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of pithy stone fruits, a touch of hopburn, light dankness. Flavour has plenty of dank hops, bitter citrus peel, stone fruit pith, light hopburn, and petroleum jelly. A bit rough and dirty, but has some good hop character. Even the progenitors of the style don’t nail this style very well these days. It’s alright.

Can at work at a blind tasting. Slightly darker golden hazy golden pour with an off-white head. Some tutti frutti and floral aroma shows, pleasant but a bit vague. Taste follows in similar fashion, there’s some bitterness for balance, which works nice but it’s fairly uneventful alltogether. Supremely chuggable tho

Somebody needs to sort out the DDH vs not issues here. This was a pint can, clearly marked DDH. Pours unclear lemonade, small white head, good lacing. Aroma is light with dank and tropical notes, banana, pineapple, lemon, pot leaves. Flavor is not really popping, but what's there is a nice presentation of the nose. Light sweet, very light bitter. Medium body. No burn.

Pours murky pear into a shaker. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Pineapple, mango and passion fruit aromas. Soft with hot melon, mango, lychee and dusty tropical fruit skin front to back.
