Canned 8/25/21, drunk 10/4/21. Super thick, hazy, deep bronze-golden. Small, dense, white head shows moderate retention. Soft and fruity with juicy notes of citrus, spearmint, light pine and low yeast character. Biscuit, honey and white bread from the malt gently balances. Not hugely aromatic at this point, but it's very clean and the hops show a lovely fruitiness and juiciness that is not just citrus. There's a strong spicy-herbal character accented with pine and grapefruit. No booze or twang. In the mouth it's buttery, sweet, honey-like and malty, though not too sweet, with pine, grapefruit, mango, papaya and lime juice on the finish. Really nice texture, great drinkability, but just a bit too much butter in a lot of their beers these days. Growing pains suck and I just chalk it up to that, because these guys fucking rock.
