Draught Boston Taproom, 10/4/21. Glassy amber-to-dark-cherry. Small, beige head, showing low retention. Not too heavy on the spice, but it's there. Some earthy and very minimally tart/acidic notes with more of a vanilla-like character and playful fruitiness. Maltiness is quite apparent adding honey, graham cracker and light toast. Raspberry-cherry and almost a root beer with vanilla character or maybe some rooibos tea. Definitely not astringent, bitter or challenging, with soft malt helping to comfort the palate. Still, there are some interesting notes even if it is a bit safe.
