Canned 7/21/21, drunk 8/2/21. Another deep maize-canteloupe-colored IPA, so maybe they used the golden promise malt like from 'Mingo? Fully hazy, though not a glass of concrete (though I also didn't disturb the sediment before pouring). Off-white head quickly fades to a ring. Hugely mango-vanilla-tangerine-forward nose leaps out of the can upon pouring. Rich honey-like malt notes join it and easily balance. No hop twang or alcohol noted. Complex white wine character comes on strong as it warms, lingering nicely on the finish and helping to balance the more tropical/sweet notes. Just juicy and complex as all hell, wow. Soft and dry in the mouth with plentiful papaya and mango. There's just a hint of scallion that seems to linger on the finish throughout (becoming more evident over time, not initially). Other than that, it's malty and well-attenuated with engaging, low carbonation and excellent mineral and earthiness from the yeast. Great bitterness and little/no bubble gum-like yeastiness. Well-balanced and far from a glass of orange juice. It actually seems much more akin to 'Mingo than I expected. Heavy lingering bitterness is just a bit too fatiguing, but otherwise this is excellent.

4 ounce sample at the brewery. Flavor has mild tropical fruit, pineapple, lemon peel, lots of pith bitterness. Good but this batch has strong lemon throughout.

Got better as it warmed. Take me to the Cayman Islands.

Here I was expecting a beer with watermelon flavor, but look closer: that's actually Waterlemon on the label. Pours a very hazy golden-lemon-yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is pretty dank, with some tropical fruit and citrus elements. Flavor is just a touch chalky, with tropical fruit, some citrus, a touch of pine/spruce hoppiness to the finish. It's fairly bitter in the finish as well.

Pours a very hazy, mustard-yellow, with good-sized and lasting head. Aroma is bursting with tropical fruit, stone fruit, and citrus notes. Flavor is citrus and tropical fruit, with a lot of pine/spruce hoppiness in the background. Very bitter finish on this one. A great beer.
