Bottle from Stacks. Hazy black, stable, foamy, dark beige head. Aroma of fondant, dark fudge, maple syrup, vanilla bean, cappuccino, prune, black olive, teriyaki, bourbon. Taste has sweet candied fig & prune in a thick pecan-nutty, dark fudge- & chocolate sauce-like malt body, some bitter coffee roast. Peppery hops in the finish, lingering sweetened fondant, woody maple and syrup; along with a decent dash of warming bourbon alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Lovely as ever!

Cream-tan-mossy head, fast gone over black beer. Faint cigar ashes, cigarleaf, maple syrup, molasses, wood. Sweet, molasses, treacle, sugar syrup, maple ditto. Faint dry-almost-bitter from the roast, faintly phenolic. Very sticky, viscous; good carbonation; alcoholheat, heavy. Sweet, punch-y. Txs to Stef!
