Bottle shared by Jan & Charlotte when visiting Ulfborg on our holiday. Great to meet up! --500ml bottle 420/2000, bottled 1/28/21, thanks so much J&C! -- Opaque dark brown to black color, average to decent sized brown colored head. Aroma is malts, whiskey (rye whiskey I guess), light vanilla, liquorice. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, a slight note of burnt malts in the background, rye, cocoa, rye whiskey, booze, distant dark raisins. Very nice!

500mL bottle 807/2000, 1/28/21, drunk 11/11/22, thanks, TJ. Inky black, unclear, large tan head immediately to ring. Rye and chocolate, nutty grain, vanilla and caramel. Really well-balanced with excellent barrel character. Lots of rye, quite dry, alcohol isn't hot but does cut the texture. Yeah, the barrel probably cuts the texture a bit too much, leaving it rather thin. Hard to believe a 13.1% stout could be thin, but there you have it. Lots and lots and lots of nutty, spicy rye. I wonder if using the rye and buckwheat made for less extraction and thus less maltiness. Whatever the case, it's too thin and whiskey-heavy.

1/28/21 bottle 807/2000 aroma is rye, signature stout base with hint of tobacco. Taste is nice, slightly thin but full of flavor. Nice stout.

Bottle. Pours clear mahogany, merlin tan head, good lacing. Aroma is cocoa. Dark roasty, bourbon, vanilla, earthy dark licorice. Flavor is medium sweet, light plus bitter, integrated. A bit of heat. Full body, creamy.
