Located in Greenville, South Carolina, The Eighth State Brewing Co is a zymurgy & lifestyle project inspired by the Eight Circuit Model. For our first collaboration, we crafted an India Pale Lager rooted in the concepts of transhumanism & life extension.

Golden yellow with slight haze, Agerasia pops with bright citrus aromatics of mandarin orange and zesty lemon alongside tropical undertones. For the grist, we leaned heavily into our shared values of showcasing local agricultural systems by integrating Trillium Farm Jimmy Red Corn & Riverbend Bloody Butcher Corn Malt for enhanced complexity & smooth drinkability. Dry, crisp, and light-bodied, Agerasia finishes with a touch of sweetness and a highly refreshing bitter snap.

Pours a hazy orange amber from a can, fair amount of foamy head. Stone fruit, biscuity aroma and flavor, rather faint and almost insipid. Sweet. Good beer.

Canton draught, 10/16/22. Moderately hazy, brass-maize with a small, white head sitting at cover. Citrus and biscuity/crackery malts with maybe a touch of papaya. Clean, maybe a touch timid on the mineral or really anything other than hops, but obviously it's not showcasing the yeast and is an IPL, so not too crazy for it to be all hops. Soft, very malty-juicy in the mouth with ripe peach, white wine, overripe mango and very mild bitterness. Plain white bread like malt seems deep enough and maybe slightly sweet, though that could just be the massively juicy hop character. This peach-mango-apricot character is pretty compelling though, and there's no pine/resin or alcohol.
