Draft at work event. Loved that both a Marzen and a Festbier were on tap. Lighter gold colored. Nose is bready and some florals. Some malt sweetness, sourdough, touch of fruit. Crisp and satisfying

Fenway draught, 9/22/22. Light amber, clear, white head of low retention. More honey and less specialty malt, unsurprisingly, than their Marzen. Floral and herbal hops brighten things, with white grape and cracker lingering. Despite the style dictating a more dry character than the Marzen, this may be a bit sweeter; definitely stronger and richer with less dry elements on the finish and instead more rich honey and biscuit. White grape character throughout with a medium body and still ample attenuation. As much as I love the less specialty malt-derived flavors here, I think I prefer the dryness and lower abv of the Marzen.

Pours amber with a thin but fluffy white head. Aroma of Saar hops. Taste has oaky sweet malt. Palate has vines, somewhat resinous mouthfeel with a grainy finish. Good.

Pours deep gold into a shaker. Bright white micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving soapy lacing. Caramel, straw and biscuit aromas. Crisp with crusty sourdough and caramel malt upfront turning to astringent, dry earth and fruit skin in the medium length finish.
