Quiet Revival, our step-mashed German-inspired Helles, lagered in French oak puncheons in our cold room for 3 months and then krausened with fresh fermenting beer for smooth carbonation and a highly drinkable experience

Undated can, freshly acquired from 12 Percent, drunk 9/19/22. Clear, light peach. Small, off-white head showing low retention. Smells like a helles. Clean, with good mineral and light hopping alongside soft honey-like malt and a touch of vanilla. Peppery hop on the finish balances easily. No alcohol noted. Soft and malty with good attenuation and rich honey, sourdough and biscuit being balanced by liberal hopping that adds black pepper, fresh herbs and such with plentiful, spicy, lingering bitterness. Clean and well-presented flavors. Maybe a touch lighter-bodied, lower-malted than I'd prefer, but it's certainly a very nitpicky gripe.
