Brewed to the style of a modern Oktoberfest, it pours a light amber in color with nice fluffy white head. It is hopped in our copper bottom kettle using German Tettnang & Spalt Select hops to balance out the malt character.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to mug.
Appearance: copper color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light messy lace
Aroma: toasted nuts, some bready accents; sweet earthy to floral hops and light hay-like to grassy whiffs
Flavor: melds the prior noted aromas somewhat sweetly then carries over into the finish in the same sort of way
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; clean smoothness along the tongue
Overall: only thing I question with this is: is this a festbier or Marzen? I mean the look seems to have me a bit perplexed but everything else seems to be sort of intertwined. Anyways, well, I'd still have this again.

Pours hazy gold into a stein. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Tart lemon aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and butterscotch front to back. Mild, earthy finish.

Pint at Capone's. Pours a clear, orange color, with a medium, foamy, khaki head. The nose is sourdough, dried orange, hay, water crackers, and sage. Sweet and malty, with a musty, kinda dank bitterness. Light to medium body, chalky, and chewy. Pretty nice.

16 oz can. Aroma is stale bread, caramel, toast. Flavor is a direct reflection of the nose and is spot on for the Marzen style. Lager yeast and sweet bread. Very clean and crisp. This doesn’t show any Diacetyl / butter or such flaws. I’ve had a lot of nice Oktoberfest beers this year, including this one.

Canned 8/2/22, drunk 8/21/22. Clear copper-amber. Large, well-retained, off-white head. Fruity, freshly herbal hops overlaid upon soft, malty, caramel and melanoidin-accented malts with honey and sourdough behind. Clean, aromatic and with no alcohol or flaw. Soft and malty, great malt texture for not being decocted. Good attenuation with rich butter toffee, light sourdough, honey, caramel and generous, but balanced, herbal and spicy hops. Clean, flavorful, crisp and well-attenuated finish. No alcohol or flaw noted.
