This Italian Pilsner gets it soft and aromatic malt quality from a terroir Pilsner malt ground near the Adriatic Sea. The beautiful honey malt character is balanced by a perfectly dry and slightly cooling finish. Italian for “afternoon snooze” Pisolino is just what you need to sail through the day.

Pint at Three Penny. Clear gold, creamy yellow head. Nose is fine, maybe muted. Grist, some straw, a little noble hop. Flavor has grist and corn, straw, some dried herbs. I expected more. More hop. More carb. Maybe a little flat on the finish. Not their best.

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: clear gold color with a three finger white foamy head which dissolved nicely to barely leave any lace
Aroma: sweet herbal to a touch of floral hops with a biscuity honey malt backbone
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a semi-herbal clean malty quality; finishes the same way and a touch of dryness
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; good smoothness and a touch of oily tones but I expected that
Overall: not bad and possibly one I could have again.

Can thank to Jack! Pours a clear crisp gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has lots of straw with light hay, a bit of bread and a bit of grass supporting. Flavor has straw and crisp hay throughout with just a bit of sweetness and a hint of grass in the finish.

4 pack of cans drunk 8/19/22. Clear bronze-brass. Moderate amount of white head with moderate-to-low retention. Floral hops with dainty, honey-like malts and clean yeast with low minerality. Pepper, bread crust and more floral notes. Soft and malty, a bit loose-textured and slightly watery. Gaining a bit more sweetness than I'd prefer over the course of the glass, but the malt flavor and hop character is excellent. Clean, no alcohol noted.

Pours clear bright gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel and hay aromas. Sour with multigrain sourdough, berries, hay and wet straw upfront turning to mild earth in the medium length finish.
