Our previous 2-Year fruited Méthode Traditionnelle blend, So Last Season: Montmorency Cherry, spent an additional year in fresh Family Jones Rye Whiskey barrels. Colorado Alfalfa Honey was used as the priming sugar for bottle conditioning.

This beer delivers a complex nose of sun-ripened cherry and big holiday baking spice. The taste follows with Grandma's whiskey-laced cherry pie. A moderately tannic structure counterbalances fruit sweetness and a bold spirit-like warming sensation. In this three-year oak-matured release inspired by our favorite Oude Krieks, the combination of fruit, Brett funk, and Rye-whiskey characteristics are engaging your senses to remind you that much like your favorite pair of denim, some styles are timeless.

Bottle pour at the DCBeer December 2025 share. Poured a clear, deep ruby red color with a small white head. Aroma was fruity cherries, cherry skin. Flavor was tart cherries, light vanilla. Juicy, slightly funky cherries. Really pleasant tartness. Liked this one a lot.

Foam draught, 8/13/22. Light pink, glassy/lightly cloudy. Off-white/pinkish tinted head atop. Beautiful mix of cherry, intense, but not overdone rye spice, big, fruity brett and moderate lactic acid with lingering cherry juice and an almost vanilla-like character from them. In the mouth it's soft, juicy, with a strong tannin structure and a great mix of brett and cherry with light lactic acidity. Juicy, lightly medicinal and with a spicy rye whiskey character that adds great complexity.
