It’s hard to imagine that after 11 years of exploring every corner of lager, that you could brew something new. But if there’s one thing we’ve learned in this time, it’s that there is so much more to learn. In the spirit of trying new things, learning new things and building a community of lager lovers, we teamed up with Bierstadt from Denver for this collaboration. Bierstadt has been equally committed to the craft of perfected lagers since their founding in 2016 and we are clearly cut from the same grain.

Together, we brewed a Munich Style Export Lager. This beer features a double decoction mash, that is then fermented in a traditional horizontal tank for 8 weeks, and krausened with a special yeast. We look forward to raising this one with our best lager friends.

Can - medium gold, mostly clear - lively carbonation that kicks up a creamy, lasting head - looks pretty spectacular, actually - medium-full body with a creamy texture - a touch of clean malt sweetness before a middle and finish that is dry and assertively bitter - lovely, grassy hop character - underlying crackery malt character throughout - now this here’s a fucking lager!

Illegible canning date, drunk 8/5/22. Light chill-haze in this deep, burnished brass. Large, white head slowly falls to cover. Lovely nose, spicy and herbal, very clean with snappy, honey-like malts and light grain accents. Soft minerality and almost a juicy pear-like quality to the hops, on the finish. No alcohol or flaw. Soft and malty with good attenuation and light bitterness coming on late. Spicy and herbal with again, the pear-like fruitiness. Lingering hop bitterness. The malt texture is just a touch lacking as it thins out too much through the middle. Looking for more depth/maltiness, especially for this abv. Otherwise, is clean, crisp and extremely well-hopped (perhaps a shade too much so).

This is a beer lovers beer. Clear gold and large frothy foam head. Nose is bready and some minerals. Tatses of sourdough, pale malt, steel, minerals, touch of perfume. Crisp yet chewy. Just screams beer flavored beer
