Sampled from the tap at GTMW 2022. Pours near black with a very dark chestnut brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of coffee, with burnt vanilla and sweet dark grains backing. Flavor combines sweet dark grains with coffee and has some burnt vanilla supporting.

2022 12oz bottle, drunk 7/23/22. Gigantic, foamy, annoying, light-tan head. Dark ebony with deep garnet-mahogany tints. Lactic acid, cacao, fruity esters and lots of caramel and chocolate. Not too much booze. In the mouth it's chocolatey with lots of vanilla and caramel. My problem with these beers, and there's lots of them, is that they have so much excess sugar that just gets converted to raw alcohol and the beer no where matches its abv. This is flavorful, but not this level, at all. Lightly milky, lots of coffee, plentiful alcohol with molasses, prune and lightly sweet caramel. Lingering alcohol burn.
