Brewery draught, 7/8/22. Good clarity. Prune juice to dark mahogany. No head. Nice malt depth with caramel, fudge, milk chocolate and vanilla all being balanced by a not-overdone amount of bourbon spice and dryness. Adjuncts very light here, as well, and I can't even reliably pick them out. No alcohol noted. There is a lightly tart, fruity berry note, so that's obviously the blueberry. It lightens the mood but is definitely a bit strange. Blueberry again up front and throughout. Maybe a bit dominant....chocolate, bourbon and vanilla create great flavors and it's soft and easygoing, surprisingly for its size. I like pushing the envelope with the blueberry here, though I'm not sure its exceedingly successful. The vanilla bean is phenomenal, though, that's for sure. Great attenuation, though the blueberry sugars somewhat crowd the finish. Definitely a unique one! Wouldn't hate a little more specialty malt and barrel character.
