Trailbreaker (2021 - )

Solid lager, crispy biscuits, crunchy straw, dirty hay, grass, cereal. Nice overall.

Pours clear gold into a willi. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Hay and pepper aromas. Crisp with sweet caramel, straw and pepper front to back. Earthy citrus peel finish.

Canned 6/27/22, drunk 6/28/22. Clear, burnished brass. Small, white head of moderately-to-low retention. Soft, even, fruity nose with hints of pear and peach. Light mineral, dainty honey and low hop notes with light, dried herbal suggestions. Some waxiness and powdered sugar upon warming. Soft and fruity with good malt character. Not sure where all of this fruitiness is coming from though. There's a big white grape and white peach with apricot and even light apple. Gets awfully sweet as it warms, with table sugar and rich honey. Sourdough and strong hop bitterness on the end doesn't seem well-homogenized, even if it does help balance. Not a great batch, it seems.

12 oz can from Tree House, Charlton, 3/21/22. Canned 2/4/22. Clear gold, white head. Grass, melon, and grains. Straw and lemon notes. Wood presence is light, not really noticeable without it being on the can. Crackery finish. Bright, clean, refreshing. Slightly short. A touch thin. Solid overall, a tasty beverage.

Can thanks to Alanna. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is citrus and straw. Medium body, wheat, straw, earth, light crisp finish, very good.

Pours a nice clear dark straw from a can. Aroma of cut grass, damp straw, waxy, like a crayon. Flavor is a lightly sweet, crisp malt. Very light touch on the oak. Good beer, but not their strongest.

Pours a clear, copper-gold, with big head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is grass, straw, some hops. Flavor follows, with a touch of oak tannin. Crisp mouthfeel.
