A unique magic resides in falling snowflakes, fireside carols and festive family gatherings. An ode to the centuries-old Belgian tradition of sharing the “gift” of an annual Christmas beer, we present Cadeau to celebrate this joyful time of year.

A Belgian Holiday Golden Ale, Cadeau pours with fragrant aromatics of pear, apple, and a note of delicate white pepper. Leaping carbonation lifts the pleasant, lively and classic yeast fermentation character providing beautiful effervescence. Bright on the palate, balanced by pleasant spice notes, an elegant malt backbone, and light, continental hoppiness. At 9.1%, Cadeau is crafted to sip slowly amongst loved ones paired with time honored holiday dishes.

330mL bottled November 2021, drunk 6/25/22. Clear lemon-brass. Massive, rocky, staunch, white head. Huge ester and phenol bouquet. But the good stuff. No banana, clove, bubble gum garbage. Well-attenuated malts show biscuit, white bread and such as hints of citrusy and peppery acidity linger on the finish. No alcohol or flaw noted. Nice and balanced with big acidity and deep, well-attenuated malts adding honey and bread dough. White pepper, citrus rind and lingering dried herbs. No overt alcohol nor much warming. Love that maltiness yet matching strong attenuation. They got some phenomenal fermentation characteristics on this one - right up there with the best of the Belgian tripels.

Pours a hazy amber from a bottle. Big yeasty aroma and light citrus notes. Nice yeasty flavor. Very good beer.

Pours clear gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to coat surface. Sweet honey and hay aromas. Crisp with sweet honey and caramel upfront turning to hot hay and earth in the medium length finish.
