Crafted in collaboration with Warsteiner, brewing since 1753, it showcases classic Pilsner malt, noble hops, and a decoction mash, honoring tradition while brewing for today. On tap at Jack’s Abby, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma has gentle grassy hops, some herbaceous notes, and bready malt. Flavour is fairly herbaceous and malty, with lots of bready malt, sweet grains, and very low-level herbaceous hops. Pleasantly constructed, solid malt base. Good.

Can, from Whole Foods, Manhattan NYC. Pours clear golden with a large foamy white head, malt aroma with grassy hops, high carbonation, mildly bitter malty taste with faint grassy hops, smooth body, longish finish. Very smooth and enjoyable lager.

Brewery draught, 6/9/23. Clear, blonde-brass with a hint of deep copper. Small, white head, low-to-moderate retention. Soft, understated hop and malt. Some hints of sourdough with gentle herb and pepper. Strong mineral with some biscuit on the finish. Soft and malty, but not too soft with excellent malt depth and attenuation. Just a hint of medium malt with lots of crisp yeast and gently herbal hops. Flawless.
