Polotmavý, quite literally meaning “half dark”, is a Czech style of amber lager. Brewed with a mixture of floor malted bohemian pilsner and floor malted bohemian dark malt, this beer will finish with a beautiful amber hue.

4 pack at home enjoyed during excellent sports weekend for Boston. Light copper orange and fuzzy head. Nose is peppery and bready. Tastes of caramel, sourdough, peppery. Thinner bodied. Quite refreshing

Brewery draught, 6/9/23. Not really half dark, or dark at all for that matter. Just a bit of copper, really. But whatever. Clear, small, off-white head shows moderate-to-low retention. Nose is malty, crisp, herbaceous. Very rich helles-like with spicy hop character nicely balancing. Clean. Soft, malty, well-attenuated. Lots of honey and white bread with gentle, but well-done hop character. Honey, white bread, pepper and herb. More helles-like with almost zero specialty malt character, but still really lovely with good minerality.
