Althea is a modern American Pale Ale. Unlike many pale ales, Althea is low on bitterness, yet massively hoppy on the aroma. Althea is a beer that can be enjoyed by the pint or by the glass!

Bottle at home, 28/01/18. Murky orange to light amber with a well appointed off white head. Nose is grassy hop, caramel, biscuit, bread pudding, sweet malts, orange peel, light soap. Taste comprises tangerine, straw, biscuit, toasted malts, leafy hops, blood orange. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with grassy come dusty hop bitterness. Ok session gear with an old Skool leaning.

Tap @ Tilt, Birmingham. Pours a misty gold, good white head. Aroma of breezy citrus. Taste is fairly light, soft fruits, light citrus, light malt, a touch floral. Seems more like a golden ale really. Decent though.
