Can. Light haze on this gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Light smooth malts, a light creamy sweetness blends well with a big dose of coconut. A little semi sweet pineapple in the mid. Decent hop spice reminds you this is a double ipa. Some light spicy bitterness and mild citrus. Light finish brings still more coconut. Sold! Nice concept, executed well and it goes down easy.

$3.70 pint can, Wine Warehouse. Pours gold with an off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit, pineapple, orange. I get no coconut in the nose. Flavor has it though: coconut immediately, pineapple, orange peel, light grapefruit, some floral notes, but there's a cheap lager taste underneath that makes this good not great.

Draught @ Taphouse. Deep golden color with a thin white head. Coconut butter dominates. Light perfume. Still quite drinkable still.

Can. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Good old James Clay. Pale gold, with a medium haze. Film and ring of sticky, white head. Nose has coconut sponge cake and pineapple rings, so that’s those boxes ticked. Some squeezed orange. Definitely a smoothie thing going on. Taste is syrupy sweet, with a fairly punchy, citrusy bitterness, in equal measure. Smooth mouthfeel. Never feels the ABV. Soft carbonation. Bit of lip stickiness. Sticky and ripe citrus finish. Missus hated this from first sip, which is good, because it meant I got to chug the lot.

Taste is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, leafs, pineapple, hay, flowers, light malts, weeds, citrus peel, fruit stones, coconut, grass, dried tropical fruits, hops. Medium bitterness, slightly sweet and harsh fruity mouthfeel. Fair enough.

16 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Batch #001. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy pineapples, coconut, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, citrus zest, light pine, honey, vanilla, cream, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, pineapple, coconut, lactose, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy and lightly tart/tangy pineapples, coconut, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, citrus zest, light pine, honey, vanilla, cream, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very mild pine/zesty/herbal/grassy bitterness and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of pineapples, coconut, tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, citrus zest, light pine, honey, vanilla, cream, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, pineapple, coconut, lactose, and pale malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitter/tartness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and fruit tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and lightly sticky/tangy mouthfeel that is awesome. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an excellent fruited DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, pineapple, coconut, lactose, and pale malt flavors; very smooth and extremely easy to drink, with the very mildly bitter/drying finish. Delicious dessert-like DIPA, tastes just like pina colada as advertised. Extremely juicy pineapple, coconut, and citrus/fruity hop complexity; sizable bready malt/lactose backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy feeling. A really enjoyable offering.

Coconut and pineapple nose, strong. Clear golden, thin head. Pineapple and lemongrass, coconut accents. Medium body, easy carbonation. Really freaking awesome!
