Nachdem unser From Asia with Love! Doppelwit in der Vergangenheit schon so gut ankam ;-), und ich mit dem Pax Bräu Saison 2019 positive Erfahrungen sammeln durfte und es bei der Gewürzkombination in beiden Kreationen Übereinstimmungen gibt, war es für mich nur ein kurzer Weg zur Erkenntnis, dass ein leichtes FAWL nur folgerichtig ist.
Ich bin gespannt, ob diese leichte Mischung aus Malz, Hopfen, Orangenschalen, Koriander, Ingwer, Habaneros, Zitronengras und Szechuanpfeffer, vergoren mit belgischer Saison-Hefe ähnlich polarisiert wie Ihr großer, schwerer Bastardbruder, das FAWL Doppelwit. Wie der geneigte Pax-Fan schon länger weiß, finde ich
persönlich diesen Mix aus Tropifrutti-Geruch, exotischem Geschmack mit leichtem Brennen und Bizzeln auf der Zunge und im Hals jedenfalls großartig! Und das Ganze bei einem der heißen Jahreszeit angemessenen niedrigeren Alkoholgehalt. Von mir aus könnte es jetzt gleich schon Juli sein!

Growler 1000ml. w. swing top @ home on the terrace. [ As Pax Bräu From Asia With Love Szechuan Style ].[ Courtesy of aHDer ]. ABV: 7.1%. Murky to hazy medium orange amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, wheat, moderate hoppy, citrus, lemon, lemongrass, coriander, floral, chili fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, coriander, spicy, lemongrass, citrus, chili fruit, wheat, yeast, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Aroma is bitter in a harsh way with jalopeno-like vegetables. Flavour has cardboard, some chili and peppery spices. Also some sweet fruitiness. The chili does not burn here at all, but tastes as peppery spiciness. Weird stuff.

Pours yellowish orange with a small head. Aroma is strange with notes of pumpkin, spices, wheaty malts, floral notes and yeast. Taste is spicy, stuffy and wheaty with some hints of pumpkin. Finish is yeasty and stuffy with some spicy notes. Quite stuffy and a bit strange.

1 liter swing top pours with a deep gold body that has copper hues and supports a weak white head of bubbles. The aroma offers up some apricot sweetness, a sugary maltiness and then a big dose of Macy’s perfume counter flowery notes. Behind the flowery notes I get a light spicy wood sensation as well as light raspberry. Interesting. No clue how this aroma will translate in flavor until that first sip is dispatched. As the first sip starts the aroma forces down more flower perfume notes no doubt shifting the flavor perception. Does this beer have an agenda? I get a mix of apricot and peach and plum and lychee and lemon grass as well as firm sugar sweetened flowery notes that pulse with flower power from time to time. Wow, this is different. Just behind the flowers is a spicy sort of sugar malt sweetened wood sensation. It smooths out toward the finish as fruity sweetness takes over the floral right into the finish. To damn flowery for me but it was an interesting ride.

SAMPLED AT BKL2014. Light spicy and tropical notes (oranges, dragon fruit) Cloudy orange-yellow, offwhite lace. Medium light body, mellow creamy mouthfeel , a hint mealy. Nice balance between fruit and spice, dessert beer.

Süß hefige Kräuternoten, süffig, hell, zum Ende etwas zu trocken. Ausgewogen, mir etwas zu süß. 11/7/8/7//8

Trübes orangegelbes Bier mit sehr geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch würzig, Citrus. Geschmak sehr süß malzig, Gewürze.
