Pouring a jet-black color in the glass it carries notes of coffee, chocolate and freshly baked bread with a gentle bitterness impacted by classic Willamette hops.
This time capsule is remarkably enjoyable, encapsulating a time long gone by and never to return. Enjoy this magnificent taste of history!

Tewks draught, 1/27/23. Dark with cola-molasses edges. Large, tan head shows strong retention. Big, aromatic nose is notable from a few feet. Luscious molasses-tinged roasted barley with vanilla and licorice. Quite powerful for its size. LOTS of black licorice from the black malt. Clean, no alcohol. Soft, malty, well-attenuated, with much of the licorice from the nose in addition to vanilla, cocoa powder and bitter roast on the finish. Just enough base malt sweetness to balance. Clean, no alcohol noted.

Pours a deep, dark brown, verging on black, with mid-sized, tan head. Aroma is roasted grain, malt, burnt toast. Flavor is roasted grain, leather, malt. Lightly sweet with a smooth mouthfeel.
