Brewery draught, 1/21/23. Seems clear, greyish-mahogany. Dark beige head, low retention. Salty, crunchy, strong, dark coffee with vanilla-like character and such. Strong roasted barley, light caramel. No alcohol or flaw noted. A bit of smokiness is nice, salty, peppery and all. Is indeed thin on the malt depth. But otherwise clean, very flavorful and not boozey.

8 oz. Draft. Aroma is a decent amount of roasted coffee bean, chocolate malt, ash. Flavor follows. Body is lean. Alcohol is not found. Overall, well made enough.

Sample from the source. Dark brown bordering on black with a rich tan head that persists. Smokey earthy phenols against a thin caramel and chocolate maltiness. Light earthy hops. Could have used a bit more body or sweetness to counter the smoke imho, but pretty tasty as is.
