Tewkesbury draught, 1/7/23. Blackish, undetermined clarity. Small, dark tan head atop showing strong retention. Marshmallow is evident giving creamy vanilla and caramelized sugar. Fudgey milk chocolate behind it with low lactose character. Molasses, ginger and dry roast balance the finish. Smells sweet of course, but reasonably balanced with the acidity. No alcohol or flaw noted. Bitter roast, dark chocolate, vanilla, fudge, etc etc....basically every sweet and dry character associated with dark malt, chocolate and vanilla. Yeah this is keeping its balance as it warms and I'm super sensitive too sugary beers. Just a roasty, vanilla-and-molasses laced treat with excellent dessert character but remaking drinkable without too much adjunct or any alcohol. Been a while since I've had the regular version but this seems as good or better.

Dark brown spotty head in a dark brown still body. Coffee & chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & sharp on the back. Berries, chocolate, malt, bourbon & cherry tastes. Cracking beer.
