A bottle opened at Ambasada thanks to Severinac, shared with Marko and him. Dark brown, small head. Aroma is dried fruits at first, molasses, dates, alcohol, cognac, solvent. Sweet, smooth, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, raisins flavour. Smooth, creamy, not too sweet, balanced. Strong, slightly boozy.

Bottled at Ambasada, courtesy of Severinac somehow, with Krpan, Hrabren and others. Huge aroma, well balanced, woody, caramel, raisins, hazelnut, dried apricot, peach, sweetish, light vanilla, light orange touches. Lean, lighter than expected smooth, dry taste, caramelly, fruity notes, light alcohol, lightly tart notes, well hidden alcohol, actually quite lovely!

500 ml bottle. Aroma has notes of coconut, wood, vanilla, dates, plums, sherry, cashew brittle. Pours very dark brown with a one finger beige head that falls into a ring within a minute. Taste is moderately sweet with some light bitterness around the edges, and some savoriness with flavors of the aroma descriptors; really nice bourbon barrel notes mingling with typical barleywine fruity esters and caramel maltiness.

4 oz draft. Deep brown color. Aroma is bourbon on top of raisins and English toffee. That is some sweet, SWEET nectar. Rich toffee, dark fruit underneath a rich bourbon character. Alcohol is well restrained. DAMN! You almost can’t get better than this for a BA barley wine.

Bottle from John, much obliged, 7/27/23. Rating #10900! Pours a murky, almost muddy looking, brown color with a thin, light brown head. Sweet caramel / toffee, whiskey, dark fruit, and wood. Tons of flavor. Quite good.

5oz pour at the brewery is a murky root beer brown with long legs but no head. Nose has caramel and toffee, root beer barrels, plenty of booze and whiskey, it's high end though - despite these barrels being of dubious origin, malt, maple. Flavor is big on maple and booze and caramel, earthy and malty. It's very well balanced and quite smooth despite the ABV. Long finish that's maybe just a bit hot? I'm impressed. Hardywood tries this kind of stuff and its an herbal mess.
