Cask @ Inn On The Green, Harpenden. Golden with a thin head. It’s a session pale ale with a hoppy nose, light hoppy taste and a light dryness.

Handpull cask at the George, Southwark. Mid-gold with a small uneven white head. Clear. Aroma of tangerine, some caramel and a sappy/gummy hint. Mostly sweet taste, quite fruity and sugary, but there’s a bitter sulphur astringency close to the finish. Aftertaste is a bit wanting, with notes of cheap orange squash. Flat body. Pleasant enough for a half but it isn’t a great drink by any stretch of the imagination.

Cask at Cloisters Edinburgh ... Deep red brown ... sweet toffee malt nose ... pealy wally ... sweet fruit malts ... no real depth... but suprisingly drinable and more flavour if not depth than expected.
