Black with a medium light brown head. Aroma of wooden barrels, caramel and coffee. Sweet with a warm wooden barrels, caramel and dried fruit end.

Can. A more or less pitch black beer, though with a tendency towards dark brown, might be the strong autumn sun causing that. A dense finger-thick light tan head sits patiently on top. Some curtains. The aroma is a bit boozy at first, but after a couple of minutes it's well reduced, making room for a delicious coffee smell, caramel sauce, roasted malt notes and some coconut. Some licorice and wood. It's full-bodied and warming, very smooth on the palate, and rather sweet, yet with a decent bitterness. As in the aroma, the flavor starts of with coffee, and stays on that path all the way, still giving room for roasted malts, dark chocoloate, booze, molasses, caramel sauce and alcohol. Some coconut and oaked hints too. Everlasting finish. Really nice this one, but... The boozyness from the bourbon barrels shines through a bit too much, and I find it a bit too sticky sweet. And yet another but... It's f'in' delicious anyway. 240916
