Clear, dark auburn-dark male. Small, beige head immediately gone.
Chewy, rich, caramelized malts and dense molasses-raisin. But much maltier than fruity. Was expecting a big blast of sour mash bourbon but it's mild, tasteful. No booze. Caramel and vanilla lingering long.
Juicy malt almost with tons of sour mash bourbon in the flavor. Yep, that's JD! Not my favorite as it literally does have a sourness to it, but it works pretty well here with the huge caramel and vanilla of the malt monster that is this beer. It's even nicely attenuated. Lingering Jack, caramelized brown sugar, maple and molasses. No booze at all.
