This breezy and sessionable pale ale breathes gentle citrus aromas on pouring, while the bounty of Pacific hops see flavours of mango and guava cascade through a light base of pale malt, oats, and wheat.

Can at home, 20/08/17. Lightly hazed golden amber with a well appointed egg shell white head. Nose is biscuit, caramel, rye bread, light spice, toffee, grains. Taste comprises sweet notes, red grapefruit, light pine flicker, biscuit malt, caramel, light syrup, orange marmalade. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced grass laden hop bitterness. Ok if a touch pedestrian and Old Skool in places.

Can from Ghost Whale. It pours clear deep gold with a medium white head. The aroma is pleasant - juicy, sticky, Irn Bru, orange marmalade, sherbet, weedy dankness and candied peel. The taste is dry, bitter, pithy, zesty, lemon, grapefruit, a bit metallic, green, weed, damp grass, straw, herbal and earth with a drying and slightly metallic finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Really nice aroma, but the taste doesn’t live up to it. Decent enough nonetheless.

Can at home in London - picked up at an offie on Broadway Market. Pours mostly clear, deep gold with a frothy, off-white head. Pleasant citrus notes in the aroma, some orange peel, lightly toasted pale malts, soft grainy notes. Light sweet flavour with notes of husky, lightly toasted grains, grassy bitterness, dried berries, more citrus peel. Light to medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Sturdy bitterness in the finish, some further toasted grains, pine and grass. The bitterness is a bit forward here, but overall it’s decent stuff.
