Double Dry Hopped India Dark Ale… This dark india ale will come to exist and in time will rely heavily on oats, wheat dextrin and rye malt. Acute shockability will render high fruit injections of Citra, Simcoe and mosaic giving out fleshy, tropical freshness enclose in darkness.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester as part of their Wylam Tap Takeover. Very dark brown bordering on black with a small, loose, uneven khaki head. Scent of liquorice and chocolate-coveted cherries. Then I taste it... I think I can honestly say that this is the most liquorice-y beer I've ever had. Like the distilled essence of salty bitter liquorice. Burnt malt and tar add to the bitterness but there's a slight fruity hoppiness in the finish. Orchard fruit, medicinal herbs and more liquorice ion the aftertaste. Body is a bit thin but I can live with that. Not everyone will like this but I certainly did.
