Bottle bought at GBBF 2016. 4.6%. Smoked on opening! Poured black with a luxurious looking tan colour head. Aroma of strong dark chocolate, coffee, dark fruit and molasses. Moderate milky chocolate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Light to medium body, texture a bit oily/watery, carbonation too fizzy initially but reduced after a while. Finish is mellow chocolate. A very good brew.

Cask at Open Baladin, Roma, 21/06/13. Pitch black with a big dirty tan head - this fella looks the bollocks! Nose is roast malt, chocolate maltesers, cocal powder, light sugar. Taste comprises a good roasty bite, dark chocolate, earthy. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate. Overall this looks and feels great, such an easy drinker. Aroma and taste, whilst acceptable, lack a little depth though.
