A beer to mark our 300th brew and for lovers of Belgian brews this is an amplified version of our farmhouse ale, Saison 14. Balancing the increased malt bill, we've enhanced the hops here. Tonnes of Sorachi Ace and Pacific Gem give bold fruity qualities to this beer which plays with the peppery quality of the Saison yeast.

Bottle. Cotteridge. Amber colour. Fine stream of bubbles. Thick, bubbly, pale ginger head. Nice legs. Nose has big, juicy, stewed citrus hop. Loads of creamy Sorachi. Bit of shitty farmyard. Bit of booze. Soft, medicinal herb. Taste has an initial, fruity, creamy sweetness, turning oily, herbal bitter. Rich mouthfeel. Slick and hop oily. Bit of tang cuts through. Long, stewy, herbal bitter finish. Typically weird.

Keg at CBC Giles born, 11/07/16. Clear golden with a well constructed off White head. Nose is laden with sorachi, lemon rind, herbal notes, damp straw, spice, white grape, green berry must. Taste comprises earthy green berry, pinch of black pepper, straw, citric peel, tropical fruit esters, light yeast tinge, faint spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, rising alcohol in the close. Decent lightly funked up saison, big and robust.

Bottle from Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at Camping Trois Château Eguisheim, Alsace, France, Tuesday 21st June 2016 the Summer Solstice. Hazy, murky amber in colour with an off-white head. I like this it has a lovely slightly dirty edginess to it, it’s got a grubby fruity aroma, there is spice hinting at a little bit of farmhouse saisoneyness. This is lovely, drinks very easy for the abv. The maltiness has a fruit, spicy tang, soft in the mouth. Lovely. b>A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.8

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; hazy dark amber pour with a bubbly beige head, aroma has orange, yeast and some pineapple, taste has some sorachi ace action, pineapple, a hint of pepper, some yeast, alcohol present, mellow carbs, pretty good.
