Keg at the Cramond Inn, after a cycle to get there. Nice to see the place reopened. Pours like John Smith's Smoothflow, perhaps a shade darker. Malty and lightly spiced aromas. Taste is more of the same. Thin finish. Not as wassy as expected.

Keg @ Sinclair's Oyster Bar, Manchester. Clear deeper golden-amber with a head. Smoothish bitter, which slips down the palate with easy, in part to its lower bitterness.

Keg, half-pint on 20th December 2024 in Robert Raike's House. Brown in colour, off-white crust. Watered down Old Brewery Bitter blended with some Sovereign Bitter maybe? Anyway it's slightly more malty than hoppy and weak all round!

Sam Smith’s in new beer shocker ! Conveniently at a strength which allows them to pay less beer duty... Anyway, on tap at Falcon, Chester (now reopened). Pours “bitter brown” with a moderate off-white head and good lacing. Malts feature strongly in the aroma, and there are also nuts and oranges there. Sweet and malty again in the mouth though somewhat watery, with caramel and hints of ginger. Sweetness lasts into the finish. It’s reasonable – think I prefer it to the OBB.
