Draught @ BrewDog Clapham Junction, 11- 13 Battersea Rise, Battersea, Greater London, England SW11 1HG. [ As Against the Grain / Northern Monk Bruno's Cassock ].Light unclear medium amber colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, meat, smoke. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, caramel, smoke. Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours deep amber, nose is smoky toffee, malty, caramel, taste is dry, peaty, caramel, thin.

Draft @ BrewDog Shoreditch, Shoreditch E1. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy caramel smoky aroma. Fruity malty spicy smoky bitter caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy smoky caramel finish.

Keg at BD CJ. It pours clear deep brown with a decent white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, smoke, pine, resinous, dark fruit, fruit cake, earthy, rich smoke and honey glazed ham. The taste is smooth, rich roasted malt, earthy, smoked malt, ham, resinous, carbon, charred wood, sweet, earthy and toast with a dry, toasty finish. Medium body and fine carbonation, oily mouth-feel. Works pretty well. Overall a decent smoked strong ale.

Keg at brew dog.. Dark brown.. Thin tan lacing... Soft sweet smoke roast malts nose.. Dark roast.. Meaty smoke malt

Growler: Dark amber-brown with a small beige head. Caramel, smoke aroma. Taste is smoked malt, wood, caramel malt....tea... A slight herbal bittering towards the finish. REALLY NICE !!!

Draft. Lactic wood smoke, barley malt, and hay aroma. Cloudy brown with moderate head. Sweet smoked creamy barley malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Excellent smoked malt flavor - Bamberg worthy - a great smoked ale.
