Nadia Kali is an inspired Saison with cross-cultural influence. Nadia’s ruby pink glow comes from, a generous infusion of hibiscus, whole ginger root gives it a subtle spice a hint of woodsy maturity, and lemon peel adds a citrus tastiness to keep you on your toes. Full of complexity and intrigue, this unfiltered beauty will show you how deceiving looks can be.

Bottle split at home, thanks to James, 22/10/16. Rich amber with a decent light beige head. Nose is light spice, floral notes, orange peel, light yeast., grains, light red berry. Taste comprises light herb, spice, farmy notes, red berry pips. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok.

Rusty colored. Grain, yeast, light spice, a bit herbal. A bit rustic. Medium sweetness on the back end. Decent.

Bottle. First taste has a hint of tartness but its not prevalent. Looks somewhat pale amber. Good co2. A little trickle of tartness on the nose but the tartness is barely perceivable on the tongue. Alky content is apparent and there is good co2. Has a somewhat strong Belgian yeast personality all with a bit of farminess as well. Unique and somewhat interesting but a little too over the top for this lager lover. I prefer my saisons a little more civilized.

Flaska från mixpacket brewers pack, privatimport Great Brands. Orange färg med rosa ton, högt vitt skum. Doft av blommig nektar, sav, torkad ingefära. Lätt, frisk och aningen syrlig, smak av hibiskusjuice, sav, lite trä, kryddor framför allt torkad ingefära. Somrig och trevlig aningen söt.

Bottle shared @ ChrisO after GBBF Day 2. Clear copper color, small off-white head. Aroma is wheat, herbs or spices, yeast. Taste malts, wheat, yeast, herbs or spices, orangepeel. Average body, firm carbonation. Meh.

Bottled on May 11, 2016.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a tight glossy burnt pink (maybe an amber/red sort of color). A one finger white foamy head sustains for a good minute and a half and dissipates at a nice pace.
The aroma takes on the sweet hibiscus up front and bold in a big floral sense. Sweet lemon peel and pulp slides in next. Ginger is super subdued.
The flavor leans to the sweet floral side with the lemon and hibiscus coinciding. Sweetness runs into aftertaste and finish. Ginger seems barely there.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it. Carbonation rides fairly low. Semi-sticky but reclusive to the body, this one does feel nice.
Overall, good saison for the most part, perhaps again. But I do admit, perhaps, either the ginger could play a bigger part or maybe a touch less hibiscus, one of the two for a bit more balance.
