So popular, we've made it a House Beer! First brewed in Spring 2015, Hoperation is a blend of English and American hops brought together to create a powerful hop flavour in this Pale Ale with oats and wheat in the grist to provide a smooth rounded finish.

500ml bottle (4.2% ABV): BB 10th January 2025, drank at home on 16th October 2024. Clean old golden body, white crown. Hop forward and getting more bitter with each sip, in fact it was almost a harsh hop finish. Liked the first sip's more than the later ones.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Clear golden to light amber with a decent cream cap that retains well. Nose is orange peel, grass, melon, soft malts. Taste comprises melon, tangerine, airy malts, light breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close spliced with light juicy hop bitterness. Not bad.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Arkells Hoperation IPA ].Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light caramel, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, frutiy malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160810] 6-3-7-3-13

Stillage at St Albans Beer Festival on 29th September 2017. Coppery amber with almost white foam and scant lacing. Light floral hop aroma. Citrus lemon in-mouth. Bitter herbal finish. Light body and mouthfeel.
