Cask at Anvil, Wigan. Pours pale gold with a small foamy almost white head. Not much of an aroma, just some hints of floral hops. In the mouth it is quite bitter but with some underlying sweetness. Hops are to the fore and their influence gradually increases alongside citrus and peel. Hints of berry fruits and grains later as well. Sweetness wins out in a slightly sticky finish. It’s reasonable.

Hand-pulled pint at the Pheasant Inn and Brewhouse on 26th March 2024 during the wake of my old friend Stu Harding, a lovely chap. Clean and clear light golden body, white crown. Hoppy with a slight citrus leaning in both the nose and taste, easy going and an idea beer to have with a few ham sandwiches and crisps!

Thin white head on a clear golden coloured body, Medium bodied, soft & cloying. Floral, pale malt & zesty citrus with a bitter hopped up finish. Good.

Cask @ Flying Horse Hotel, Rochdale. Light golden in colour with a creamy head. Has a hoppy berry-sweet aroma, which is similar but less stated in taste.
