This dark wheat ale is all about the body. Its dark brown colour and caramel foam is supported by a mild hop aroma and lively, smooth palate that will leave drinkers refreshed. The inspiration behind this beer is the Humboldt Archipelago, a national reserve of global importance due to the biodiverse ecosystem that it hosts, included in which is the endangered Humboldt penguin.

3330ml can via Beer52; BBE December 2024. Drank at home on 16th December 2023. Brewed by Williams Bros, Alloa according to the labelling. Beige head on a dark amber body, malty molasses rule the nose and taste, my sweet tooth liking it's flavour a lot. Solid Dunkelweizen all round.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A bright copper coloured pour with a ring of beige head; caramel aroma; rather thin with a fruity caramel taste at first, then some wheat shows up; then there’s a hint of grassy bitterness at the end. Nothing wrong with this, but nothing to like either.
