Originally our 200th brew! It is an amped up version of Sorachi Faceplant with Apollo, Summit and Sorachi Ace hops but is massively bitter. Although it’s a monster of a beer and does as its name suggests, it’s juicy for a triple IPA and deliciously drinkable.

Keg at BD. It pours cloudy orange - amber with a small white headm The aroma is big stinky sorachi, creamy, coconut, fennel, liquirice, bubblegum, plastic and general sweetness. The taste is bitter - sweet, big sweet sorachi, burnt tires, liquorice, hot garbage, old veg, fennel, alcohol boost, spice and lots of herbal notes. Medium + body and fine carbonation. This is sorachi ace tamped up to 11. Unfortunately I have a strong dislike for the hop and found the overall experience pretty horrific. Could not choke it back for cash. Filthy.

660ml bottle. Moderately cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Malty aroma has notes of toffee, some caramel, grassy-herbal hop notes with spicy touch of hay, some mint. Taste is bitter hoppy, grassy-herbal, spicy notes of hay, mint, malty basis with notes of toffee; lasting, immensely bitter finish, full body. Follows strictly the mint toffee-line.

Bottle from Trafalgar Wines Brighton and drunk at home. Hazy orange amber colour lasting off white head. Big dense sorachi hop aroma. With toffee. That’s a hell of a punch in the face when you take the first gulp. It’s citrus lemon and grapefruit and then pineapple and coconut. I almost fear to sip it again. Yes toffee from the malt to underpin this big massive hop explosion. Big bitterness on the finish. I mean it’s a huge beer. It’s like being punched in the face by a coconut wrapped in a grapefruit whilst someone is thwacking Thornton’s toffee hammers into your stomach. it’s phenomenal. As an experience it’s completely arresting. What a hell of a beer. Do I like it? Oh hell yeah. It’s got some heat from the ABV. I mean it’s not perfect, but I can’t think of too many beers like this. Again you probably have to love sorachi ace. It’s too hot on the finish to be completely pleasant but some of that is covered by the harsh bitter hops. It’s amazing. just for the experience it has to be a 4. Fun.

A bit too much Sorachi. Soft malts. A bit hot. Coconut and pineapple. Not my thing
