Bottle at the hotel in Nashville. Pours clear, rich gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Nice hop aromatics, some spicy pine, pithy and rindy citrus. Light sweet flavour with subtle bready sugars, low bitterness, more pithy citrus, tangerine, grapefruit. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish with just enough pale malt sweetness to support with citrusy hop character. Solid SIPA.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours a clear golden orange color with a nice off white head. Grapefruit, lemon peel, orange and florals in the aroma. Pretty fresh. The flavor is lightly biscuit-like with lemon, dusty yeast, orange and a touch of floral bitterness in the finish. Light on the palate with a fluffy, oily mouthfeel. Good for the style. A decent beer, but nothing special.

Bottle. Clear hold pour with lots of streams of carbonation forming a thin head. Aromas of resin and cat pee with a hint of lemon. Flavor is light and crisp. Decent for a session.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a large white head. Aroma is mild citrus with some floral/fruit. Med body or so. Flavors are fairly intense. That Meyer lemon thing, some nice caramel, and some citrus hop. And floral. It’s dry and bitter. Good session ale.

[ Draft at the Dutch Goose. Light amber body with lasting fluffy head. All else about this is a little underwhelming. Session IPAs are turning into the "light" beer versions of lagers. Shouldn’t have to sacrifice the flavor....

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/3/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, orange peel, light pine, light honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical hops, lemon, and light-moderate bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, orange peel, pine, light honey, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, orange rind, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops, lemon, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Good dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately sticky, and lightly bready/grainy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice session IPA All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops, lemon, and light-moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours a clear gold with good head of foam.

Smells hoppy with notes of lemon citrus and hint of bread.

Light bitterness with lemon zest. Light presence of malt that leans towards the bready side. Pretty balanced for this not my favorite style.

Light bodied and pretty drinkable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Hop Slice on 01 May 2016 at 12:13 - Score: 7. Original review text: Pretty good Session IPA. Dig the lemon.
