On tap at River Roost, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma bursts with wonderfully gooseberry and white wine-like tang from the Nelson, with a soft biscuity malt base. Flavour is likewise super tangy courtesy of the Nelson, with white wine, gooseberry, and a soft biscuity malt base. Wonderful expression of the Nelson. Excellent.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to lager glass.
Appearance: chill haze yellow to almost burnt orange color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light melon to super subtle white grapey and a touch of pineapple-y hops with a light clean malt base
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromad to a fine crisp sweet hop tone to a bittersweet crisp quality; finishes crisp through the intertwining of those hops & malts
Texture: light to medium bodied, very sessionable; good smoothness and nothing bothersome from any hops
Overall: a clean well brewed New Zealand lager well worth coming back to.

16 oz. can. The aroma is very soft white grape with dried hay. Flavor has light malt body with the white grape and straw carrying into the characteristics. A touch of melon as it warms. Nice Nelson influence throughout with a decent crisp texture. Very easy to drink. I love it!

Worthy Burger S. Royalton draught, 10/6/23. Clear, bright golden. Firm, white head atop. Very lovely Nelson expression is juicy and tropical with good mineral and light sulfur. Hints of white wine, clean and with light honey and cracker below it. Soft but with some graininess. Honey and white bread flavors from malt balance white wine, gentle lime, melon/papaya and guava from Nelson. Light sulfur in there as well. Clean, flavorful, good bitterness.
