A double rye whiskey barrel-aged expression of the beer we brew, the rye barrels we hand select, and the time we patiently age the beer, this is our non-adjunct blend of rye whiskey barrel-aged imperial stout. Luxuriously decadent, yet refined and thoughtful, we pursue what this style was and is by sharing with you our purest blend of beer, from barrel, with time.

Rated at The Side Project Cellar. Massive, complex and super intense with barrel notes, rye, stingy woody oaky heat, vanilla, chocolate sauce and hints of spices. Awesome balance, despite it's super heavy and massive. Really tasty slow sipper. --- Beer merged from original tick of Double Barrel Rye Beer : Barrel : Time on 06 Nov 2024 at 16:11 - Score: 9. Bottle at the brewery. Black with almost no head. Thick oily dense chocolate bourbon. Somewhat hot. More bourbon. Layers of chocolate, light fruity notes and bourbon. Oily. Heavy and full bodied.

375mL bottle drunk at line share, 10/1/23. Clear-ish. Dark. Amber highlights. No head. Classy, polished nose. Chocolatey, nutty rye. Pepper, acidity, spice, light vanilla, mild fruitiness. No excess anything. Soft, syrupy, good attenuation, light vanilla, chocolatey, nutty rye. Clean, clear, well presented, polished flavors. Barrel forward but not overdone. No alcohol. Similar to VW BBT in its flawless execution. Just a touch of char and salt on the finish.
