Brewery draught, 9/9/23. Copper-bronze, clear. White head quick to ring. Nose is a lot more assertive smoke than expected; lots of bacon. Rich malts, peachy fruits with caramel and dense honey. Clean. Good woody dryness from the smoked malt helps balance a bit. Malty, rich caramel and honey with light vanilla, wood, light bacon and rich black pepper. Lingering malt sweetness with peppered bacon lingering. Much more classic Schlenkerla than expected, and a touch sweeter than expected, but still very well done and clean.

Draft at beer hall. Quite smoky nose. Gold pour, little deeer hued than Breath of Fest Air. Tastes of hammy smoke, driftwood, touch of peach, and some how reminds me of sake not sure why. Smooth.
