First Class is a delightful session beer that balances a fruity & spicy Belgian yeast character with an intense burst of classic European hops. The authentic Belgian pale malts, along with a touch of wheat, give just enough body to balance out the lemony & floral notes from the dry hopping.

12oz can drunk 8/26/23 (undated can, which they've committed to, sadly). Grossly muddy pour with lots of sediment, despite a careful pour and leaving the last like 3 ounces in the can... Super-peppery hop nose. Mellow/mild, low ester/phenol but identifiable Belgian yeast. Mmmm, that hop is killer though. So much pepper, floral, herb, fresh cut grass.... A bit muddled in mouth, unfortunately. Kind of clovey, heavily phenolic, possibly alcoholic. Great texture/attenuation, but I keep gettting clovey, smokey, gluey notes. Not sure why this yeast is so low floccing, or maybe it's just too much hop sediment (that's more probable), yet it tastes messy as hell, whereas the hop sediment should just dull the flavor slightly. IDK. Need to get another can and let it sit in the fridge for a week (this one sat for 3 days).
