Gift pounder can from the NH daughter. Pour is clean pale yellah. Looks like any other macro pale lager. Nose is crisp mild corn. First taste is pleasant, initially comes across as easy going and refreshing. No ill hops, phenolics or bitterness in this, much better than the last lager I had. I like when I can really taste the beer without the interference of bitter hops, and this does it for me. Goes down really nice. Must be some good noble hops in this, never biting; however, I see its really Calypso. Brewer knows what he's doing in this stuff, its civilized and well mannered. Hard to find a domestic craft brewer who knows what he's doing with merikan pale lager. Finally a good craft lager that has not been bastardized by IPA influence. Very quaffable.

16 oz can from jcos, thanks brosef, 9/22/23. Slightly cloudy yellowish-orange color, thin and fizzy head. Grains, lemon, dough, and some sweet bready / biscuit malt. Solid.

Can on MV. Pours clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with sugary pale malts, minimal bitterness, biscuits, cereal. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, not bad.

Brewery draught, 7/27/23. Bright golden-maize. Medium-sized, white head steadily to spotty cover. Rich malt/rice with crisp yeast. Bit of white bread and honey. Touch of peppery hop. Very clean. Great maltiness up front with some nutty, floral rice and floral, peppery hop. Good attenuation, crisp finish, clean. Love the maltiness for its size. Bit of wax and/or gum.

Not sure why Jacks Abby reuses names also not sure this is different than their other rice lager releases. Clearish gold and a finger of head. Puffy and sits up. Nose is rice and water crackers. Tastes much the same with additional hint of star fruit and pepper. Medium crispness and finishes a little sweet.

Note: the can no longer refers to lemongrass in the recipe. Not sure if it needs to be changed to a different style. Grainy sweet aroma and flavor, classic pale lager. Okay beer.
