WHAT DOES IT EVEN MEAN ?
For the continuation of our nature-themed collaboration with Track Brewing in Manchester, we took a departure from our mutual hoppy tendencies to create a deeper darker celebration of the wild. We started with an intense, rich stout base, layering in complexity with a range of specialty malts for those distinct robust, roasty, earthy stout vibes, and paid homage to mother earth by infusing it with real, natural ingredients – raw cacao husks, toasted coconut flakes and Chilean coffee beans freshly roasted by our friends at Kafferävan. The addition of a little bourbon barrel-aged stout from our barrel room contributed a round vanilla oaky dimension that both softened and enhanced the bold flavors. Current staff favorite stout.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW THOUGH
A base of Golden Promise with Chocolate, Brown, Heritage Crystal, Red Rye Crystal, DRC and Carafa Special I malts, cacao husks layered in the mash and hopped for balance. Infused with toasted coconut and coffee beans and blended with a few barrels of bourbon barrel aged stout.
Dark and thick, velvety smooth and full-bodied, sweet up front with a slightly roasty finish, aromas of vanilla, whiskey, fresh coffee, dark chocolate with a hint of coconut nuttiness.

0.44l can. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, coconut and coffee. Pours pitch black color with thin creamy light brown head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with rich roasted malt and chocolate, follows by toasted coconut, liquor and coffee with smooth and warm alcoholic mouthfeel. Full body, thick creamy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Feeling high as a mountain…

Can from my Beyond Beer Geek Edition Advent Calender. Had this at home Monday 30th December 2024, shared with Baz. We had a Raclette meal tonight prepared by Loz and Isobel. Listening to Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music Pitch black in colour with a small light beige head. Coffee, coconut and roasted malts on the nose. Taste is roasted malts, the coconut shows but not in a big bounty bar type of way, there is a little chocolate and caramel. Good beer but not amazing.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Pitch black colour with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, some mild toffee, toasted and a bit ashy elements. Flavour is roasted, some toffee, mild toasted and some slight wooden elements. A bit inky towards the finish when warming up. Very sweet kick of alcohol in the aftertaste, that also burns a bit on the gums.
