Tried at the Nottingham beer festival. Deep amber colour with a white head. Aroma light coffee and citrus. Taste dry. Medium body.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer festival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla and hops. Sweet roasty finish.

Cask @ Nottingham Beer and Cider Festival. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and roasted moderate bitter finish. 171018

17/10/2018. Cask at the Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2018, Nottingham. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, light coffee, fruit and veg. Medium plus sweetness and moderate roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, very soft carbonation.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Island Earls RDA ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration, roasted, sweet malt, chocolate - cappuccino. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. 500ml Bottle - Very dark brown with some red tinges when held to the light. Coffee, chocolate and hints of berries in the aroma. Roasted taste with coffee, chocolate, roasted chestnuts and hints of raisins. A very tasty drop.

Cask @ GBBF 2016. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty caramel bitter flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel bitter finish.

Cask at GBBF 2016, Day 1 - London. Pours deep brown with a good, frothy yellowish cap. Nice roasted malt aroma. Light to medium sweet flavour with pleasant chocolate character. Light bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Well balanced on the finish. Good beer.

9th August 2016 GBBF Day 1. Cask. Hazy deep amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is light, semi dry and has modest fine carbonation. Tangy dark malts, tangy dark fruits. Modest dark chocolate. Light finish. It’s fine but just another stout.3.0

A bottle in Brighstone, IOW and another IOW beer that tastes a lot better closer to home. Crisp palate, good fine minerally carbonation. Nice crisp dark chocolate, light palate but decently rich in flavour. A little dark chocolate bitterness. Modest ripe fruits. Light finish..
