Cask at Cocky Anchor, Worcester. Pours a dark reddish-brown with a medium sized foamy tan head. There’s roasted malts in the aroma together with a smokiness and hints of caramel and chocolate. Roasted malts again in the mouth plus dark fruits, vanilla and a hint of hops. Coffee and chocolate also some through later leading to a slightly dry finish. This is rather nice !

Half-pint, cask ale at The Man In The Moon (JDW). Shared with Finn. A beige head over a pitch black body. Lacing rings down the glass. Roasted dark malty nose, mid-sweet. Choco-coffee flavours, mid-dry. Nicely roasted ending. Pretty good. (Newport, Isle of Wight 21.10.2019).

Handpull cask at Man in the Moon (JDW), Newport, IOW. Very dark brown. Coffee aroma, dark roast malt. Bittersweet and earthy taste, with the burnt malt flavour dragging it toward the bitter. Full body. Amazing stuff.

Pendle Beer Festival 2019. Black-brown in colour with sweetened dark malts, and very much a mild in style.
